Fear can show up in so many different ways in our lives, whether it is conscious or not.
It can keep us from leaving the job we hate rather than starting something we feel passionate about.
It can keep us from leaving that relationship that we know isn't right for us but are too afraid to be alone.
It can keep us from sharing our true feelings and emotions with our loved ones because what if it changes how they see us?
In other words, it keeps us stuck. Because it's much safer to stay where we are rather than take a risk and be unsure of the outcome. This can be very scary for many people.
But what I know is this...growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone, as terrifying as that may me.
In our work together we will uncover what is behind those fears. We will unpack them, process them, compassionately challenge and reframe whatever unhelpful beliefs and thoughts may be contributing to them.
We will strive to get you to a place of empowerment where you will begin to feel more comfortable taking risks and building your courage muscles.
Courage is not the absence of fear. It is doing the thing you are afraid of anyway...with the fear.
I am also a big proponent of self-compassion and self-care. It's hugely important and sadly, most people don't give this to themselves.
I work with individuals and couples.
